Free concerts at Mundelein High

Mundelein High School's instrumental music department will present two free concerts next week. The spring honors band concert is set for Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, 1350 W. Hawley St. It will feature the honors wind ensemble and the honors symphonic winds, along with two musicians - seniors Rolin Blake, tuba, and Katie Lambert, trombone - who are the winners of the Mundelein Concerto Competition. A jazz concert is set for Saturday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. A silent auction and raffle also are planned.
