Pernix Group sees $110 million revenue increase in 2015
LOMBARD - Pernix Group reported revenue for 2015 increased $110 million primarily due to acquisitions that increased the global construction company's footprint.
Total revenue for the year was $195.5 million, according to the company. Revenue in the company's construction division was $189.4 million, while the power generation division reported $6 million. Gross profit for the year was $7.6 million.
The company said its acquisition of BEK Building Group & dck were significant factors in the financial gains. With both growth in its U.S. State Department business and a solidified Pacific Rim operating presence, the company said it is well positioned for significant growth.
"This has been a formative year for Pernix, not only did we make two major acquisitions that significantly increased our client base and expanded our global presence, but we received major awards that increased our backlog to unprecedented levels," said Nidal Z. Zayed, CEO & President of Pernix. "Our focus in 2016 will be on delivery and performance excellence, we are expanding our BIM capabilities and improving process efficiencies while remaining focused on customer satisfaction."
Zayed also touched on Pernix's exceptional safety record noting "In 2015 we once again achieved over 3 million man-hours and no lost time incidents."
