Fremd stays atop MSL West

Fremd's boys water polo team remained perfect against Mid-Suburban West foes with a 17-3 victory over Schaumburg on Wednesday as Robert DePau (6 goals) and Alex Nicholas (3) led the scoring effort.

Tyler Gustafson had a pair of goals for Schaumburg.

Nicholas had a team-best 4 assists from Fremd (6-2, 4-0), while Dylan Assmann had 3 and also scored twice.

Buffalo Grove 7, Rolling Meadows 4: The host Bison got 2-goal efforts from three players in picking up an MSL East victory.

Barrington 11 Palatine 8: John Fischer (4 goals), Mitch Gavars (3) and Tom Derken (2) led host Barrington to a victory in MSL West action.

The Broncos got all their goals in the first half and led 11-3 at the break.

Marcus Carter-Buckman 3 and Sean O'Brien each had 3 goals for Palatine, and Ivan Turkan scored twice.
