Armed robber steals $600 from Des Plaines doughnut shop
A robber who displayed two handguns tucked inside his waistband stole $600 around 11:58 a.m. March 20 from Dunkin' Donuts, 1926 S. River Road, Des Plaines, police said.
The robber ordered an employee to "Give me all of the money or I'll shoot you," then lifted his jacket and displayed the weapons, police said. He took money from a cash register tray and money from under the cash register drawer.
He was described as 5-foot-10, 190 pounds and wearing black shoes, dark pants, black jacket with a white Nike logo on the left breast pocket, black hood, blue shirt under the jacket and a black scarf covering his face.
