Hungry Girl author to visit Oak Brook

Best-selling author Lisa Lillien, creator of the "Hungry Girl" brand diet books, will visit Oak Brook next month to meet fans and sign copies of her newest book.

Lillien's appearance begins at 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Barnes & Noble in Oakbrook Center mall, 22nd Street and Route 83, Oak Brook. Goodie bags will be provided for attendees and there will be a raffle for "Hungry Girl" gear.

Lillien's newest book, "Hungry Girl Clean and Hungry: Easy All-Natural Recipes for Healthy Eating in the Real World," will be released Tuesday, April 5.

Lillien is the author of 10 best-selling books, six of which debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times Best Sellers list. She also reaches millions people with a weekly column on people.com, regular contributions to Redbook magazine, and appearances on television shows such as "Good Morning America," "The View," and "The Dr. Oz Show."

What started as a daily email to friends and family has turned into a nationwide, multimedia phenomenon. Her television show, "Hungry Girl," is seen on both Food Network and Cooking Channel. A self-proclaimed "mad scientist" in the kitchen, Lillien dishes out guilt-free recipes, tips and tricks, supermarket finds, and survival guides for real-world eating situations.
