Officer went above, beyond to help her

The media is filled with articles about unlawful behavior by police.

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, blinded by the sun, I had an accident with my car and experienced no personal injury.

Officer Martin Reutimann responded and showed care and concern for my safety and for the safety of other motorists traveling in the direction of my car blocking the roadway.

He drove me to my dental appointment, which I considered beyond his duty.

The Des Plaines Police Department can be proud of him, and I am thankful and grateful for his kind action on my behalf.
