Help available for Buffalo Creek cleanup

I read with interest Betty Biggerstaff's March 14 letter on fixing up Buffalo Creek.

Ms. Biggerstaff may be able to get activity started on her thoughts to improve Buffalo Creek by contacting and becoming involved with the following organizations:

• Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, (847) 377-7717.

• The Buffalo Creek Clean Water Plan at www.buffalocreekcleanwater.org.

The Buffalo Creek Clean Water Plan has about 571 projects on tap and volunteers, and the Village of Buffalo Grove, Lake County, Cook County, Forest Preserves, Metro Water Reclamation District, U.S. Corps of Engineers and others are in involved in these activities.
