DVD previews: 'Concussion,' 'The Hateful Eight'

Here's a look at DVDs coming out Tuesday, March 29:

"Concussion" (PG-13, 123 minutes, Sony): Will Smith got a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of real-life neuropathologist Bennet Omalu, who took on the NFL over brain trauma injuries to players. Contains some disturbing images and strong language. Extras include "Inside the True Story" featurette and commentary with director Peter Landesman. Blu-ray adds nine deleted scenes and "Crafting Concussion" featurette.

"The Hateful Eight" (R, 168 minutes, The Weinstein Company/Anchor Bay): Quentin Tarantino's latest is set in post-Civil War Wyoming. John Ruth (Kurt Russell) is escorting fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to Red Rock, where she will face justice for murder. Contains strong bloody violence, a scene of violent sexual content, crude language and some graphic nudity. Extras include two featurettes: "Beyond the Eight: A Behind-the-Scenes Look" and "Sam Jackson's Guide to Glorious 70mm."

"Point Break" (PG-13, 114 minutes, Warner): Critically panned remake of the 1991 Patrick Swayze/Keanu Reeves/Gary Busey action thriller about a gang of athletic criminals. Wrote Washington Post critic Stephanie Merry: "It takes a very special director to make scenes of sky-diving, free climbing, big-wave surfing and BASE jumping something to yawn at." Contains perilous activity, some sexuality, strong language and drug use. Extras include deleted scenes. Blu-ray adds trailers, four featurettes: "Rock Climbing," "Wingsuit Flying," "Snowboarding" and "Motocross." (Warner).

Also: "Bicycle Thieves" (Blu-ray debut of 1948 classic), "Chantal Akerman: Four Films" (documentaries from Belgian filmmaker), "Cherry Falls" (Blu-ray debut), "Exposed" (investigation reveals police corruption), "Forsaken" (Western starring Donald and Keifer Sutherland), "Hero Quest" (all-ages animated adventure), "The Making of Trump" (documentary on the Donald), "A Poem is a Naked Person" (just-released Leon Russell documentary shot in 1974), "Sam Klemke's Time Machine" (Klemke's self-portrait of his life), "The Winter" (writer returns home to Greece).

Television series: "Archer Season 6" (two-disc set with all 13-episodes), "CPO Sharkey: The Best of Season Two" (six complete broadcast episodes).
