Hanover Park police make 4 arrests during St. Patrick's Day crackdown
The Hanover Park Police Department made four drunken-driving arrests during the recent St. Patrick's Day crackdown, plus nine seat belt citations were written and three child safety seat citations were issued, said Deputy Chief Andy Johnson. In addition, 17 arrests were made for motorists with a suspended, revoked or invalid driver's license.
Hanover Park is among the law enforcement and highway safety agencies that participated in the Illinois St. Patrick's Day crackdown, paid for by federal traffic safety funds, administered through IDOT's Division of Transportation Safety. The crackdown is part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.
