Former cop hosts women's self-defense seminar

A women's self-defense seminar hosted by a retired Illinois State Police lieutenant will be held Monday, March 28 in Des Plaines. Larry Lindenman, now a self-defense instructor, will lecture on self-defense and tips to stay safe, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Prairie Lakes Fitness Center, 515 E. Thacker St. Participants don't have to wear athletic clothing. The event is co-hosted by State Rep. Marty Moylan. For details call (847) 635-6821.
