Minute's silence for Cruyff at Netherlands-France friendly

AMSTERDAM (AP) - The Netherlands-France friendly on Friday will be halted in the 14th minute for a minute's silence in honor of Johan Cruyff.

The Netherlands Football Federation announced the decision on Thursday, shortly after Cruyff died in Barcelona following a five-month battle with lung cancer.

He was 68.

Cruyff wore the No. 14 shirt for the Netherlands.

Though a World Cup title eluded him, he was the pivotal figure on the 1974 national team that electrified the sport with its "Total Football" tactics.
