Pension bill one more inept 'solution'

Politicians like Senator Dan Duffy are the very reason the state of Illinois is flailing about, drowning in red ink. His bill, SB3317, hopes to grab onto local police and fire pensions in a vain effort to keep the state from going under. What will happen is the whirlpool created by the state's own mismanagement will suck the would-be rescuers into the vortex with it.

Illinois politicians consistently opt for easy and inept solutions to their own mismanagement. They need to learn to swim.
