Warped Tour taps Real Friends, Color Morale and more

The Vans Warped Tour lineup is out, and it's holding steady in its form with a good mix of major players on the emo and pop-punk circuits, some hard-core rock and a strong showing of metal bands.

Clearly the formula works, as the Warped Tour will be making its way around the country for its 22nd season, launching from Dallas in late June. The Warped Tour comes to the Chicago area Saturday, July 23, at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park.

This year's lineup, announced Tuesday, features national-level acts such as New Found Glory, Yellowcard, The Word Alive, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and more.

But this year, also expect to see some of our area's finest up-and-coming talent, including Rockford's The Color Morale; Real Friends and Knuckle Puck hailing from the South Suburbs; and metal band Veil of Maya. Chicago pop rock band Marina City is also playing the tour, but only for the West Coast dates. See vanswarpedtour.com for the full lineup.

Tickets for the Tinley Park tour stop are on sale now, starting at $41.50 for general admission, with a special 3-D collector ticket available for $51.50, at livenation.com.
