Softball: Burlington Central moves to 3-0 for season
Burlington Central 11, West Chicago 8: Kristina Ahlers had 2 hits and 2 RBI and Alex Rabe added a double and 2 RBI to lead the Rockets to their third win without a loss in this nonconference game. Kelly Wiater and Sarah Kinney (RBI) each added 2 hits and Gretchen Schrubbe had an RBI for BC. Emily Kisch came on in relief to pick up the win in the circle.
Lisle 14, Rosary 8: In nonconference action, Maura Vanbogaert was 2-for-4 with a home run, double and 4 RBI to lead Rosary (2-3). Emma Molenhouse had a double and an RBI for Rosary while losing pitcher Sarah Willman added a triple and an RBI.
Plainfield South 5, Elgin 3: Losing pitcher Jessica Rago had Elgin's only hit in this nonconference loss. Rago struck out 8 for the Maroons (0-3).
