Kane County

• Ricky L. Williams, 18, of the 600 block of Highland Avenue, Elgin, was charged with possession of marijuana at 12:32 p.m. Thursday at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report. Williams set off the metal detector and a security officer noticed a bulge in his sock while using a metal detecting wand to further search Williams. The bulge ended up being a plastic bag containing 3.5 grams of marijuana, according to the report.

• A resident of the 36W0-99 block of River Grange Drive near St. Charles reported a case of identify theft at 12:59 p.m. March 16 after learning of an unauthorized $584 purchase on his credit card.

• A purse was stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. March 15 from a car parked on the 1100 block of North Washington Avenue near Batavia.

• A resident of the 0S600 block of Skyline Drive near Batavia reported a case of illegal credit card use at 4:23 p.m. March 11 after learning someone bought an iPhone 6 on his cellphone account from a store in Florida.

• Jaime E. Raddatz, 38, of the 38W100 block of Kristin Drive, Elgin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and theft of labor at 7:14 p.m. March 10 after authorities were called to the 38W100 block of Kristin, according to a sheriff's report. Raddatz is accused of using a fake $100 bill to pay a cab fare and police found a bottle of pills in her purse.

Batavia

• Chay R. Mitchell Jr., 20, of the 1100 block of East Sixth Street, Sandwich, was charged with criminal damage to property at 3:10 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of East Wilson Street, according to a police report.

• Someone stole a jar collecting donations for a children's hospital from the Shell gasoline station, 164 S. Randall Road, it was reported at 12:38 p.m. Saturday.

• Jumper cables and a GPS device were stolen sometime March 15 and 18 out of a vehicle in the 800 block of Newberry Drive.

• A home in the 200 block of Stone Manor Circle was burglarized at 11:47 p.m. Thursday.

• A vehicle was burglarized in the 800 block of Viking Drive, it was reported at 4:04 p.m. March 16.

• A vehicle was burglarized in the 900 block of Appleton Drive, it was reported at 5:52 p.m. March 16.
