Hultgren's Traveling Help Desk to assist Sugar Grove residents
U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) recently announced his Traveling Help Desk will be in Sugar Grove to help assist residents of the 14th Congressional District on Tuesday, March 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will be held at the Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 S. Municipal Drive.
Staff will be available to address any issues constituents may have with federal agencies, listen to their concerns and deliver those concerns directly to the congressman. Staff can give assistance regarding Social Security benefits, Medicare, Veteran's Affairs, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, international travel, the Internal Revenue Service and more.
Rep. Hultgren recently traveled throughout the 14th District, highlighting the work of local officials, businesses and schools in Kendall, Kane and Will counties and McHenry and Lake counties.
"I know residents of the 14th District need help where they live, and I urge residents in and near Sugar Grove to take advantage of my Traveling Help Desk to bring my office their concerns and issues with the federal government," said Rep. Hultgren. "If you are a veteran who has felt neglected or ignored by the Department of Veterans Affairs, if you are in need of an advocate on your behalf as you seek Social Security or Medicare benefits, if you need help with immigration services and more, I especially want to hear from you and assist you. Please let my staff know your situation and how I can help."
Constituents seeking assistance will be asked to fill out a consent form, which allows staff to begin the process of resolving their concern, and should also bring any pertinent information related to their issue.
This is in addition to the previously announced Traveling Help Desk in Geneva on Friday, April 1, for residents to get expert information on passports, and fraud and identify theft protection. From 9:30 to 11 a.m. Cristina Mancini of the state of Illinois Comptroller's Office will deliver a presentation and answer questions regarding identify theft, credit card protection, fraud alerts, and other related issues at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Bernice Brewer of the Chicago U.S. Passport Agency, will present an overview of what residents need to know when applying for a passport, and answer such questions as where and when to apply, who qualifies for a passport, when to renew, how to replace a lost or stolen passport, what fees are involved and more. Rep. Randy Hultgren's staff will be on site and available to help constituents as they interact with various federal agencies.
