Nova pitches into 5th inning, Yankees beat Twins
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - Ivan Nova pitched into the fifth inning before Joe Mauer's two-run single finished him, and the New York Yankees beat the Minnesota Twins 6-4 on Sunday.
Nova went 4 1/3 innings, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks.
Ervin Santana, making his third Grapefruit League start, went five innings and allowed three earned runs on two hits and three walks. The Yankees were helped by an error from right fielder Miguel Sano.
