HARRISON, N.J. (AP) - Felipe scored from the top of the box in the 77th minute to tie the game and tallied on a free kick in the 83rd to give the New York Red Bulls a stunning 4-3 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.

Sacha Kljestan and Mike Grella also scored as the defending MLS Supporters' Shield winners avoided their first 0-3 start since 1998, when the team was known as the MetroStars.

Will Bruin scored two first-half goals for the potent Dynamo, while Brazilian midfielder Alex added the other in the 65th minute to give Houston a 3-2 lead.

Ricardo Clark had a chance to tie the game for Houston in injury time but his point blank shot from in the box hit New York defender Sal Zizzo in the face and was cleared.

FIRE 0, CREW 0

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) - Matt Lampson had four saves, including a diving stop in the 68th minute, to help Chicago play Columbus to a draw.

Both teams came up empty after some early opportunities. The Fire (0-1-1) had six corners in the first 10 minutes and Columbus had a pair of shots blocked, a couple of offside calls and Frederico Higuain came away empty handed on two early shots - the first of which was saved by Lampson in the 11th.

The Crew (0-2-1) got their first corner early in the second half and continued to apply pressure on Chicago, but Tony Tchani's shot in the 54th minute was saved by Lampson and Ethan Finlay's right footer a couple minutes later sailed wide left.

Gilberto Souza Jr.'s attempt from the top of the box in the 62nd was the Fire's on only shot on goal.

FC DALLAS 2, IMPACT 0

FRISCO, Texas (AP) - Mauro Diaz opened the scoring in the 79th minute, Maximiliano Urruti added a fast-break finish in the 87th and FC Dallas beat Montreal.

Diaz scored on a free kick from a few yards to the right of the penalty arc, hooking it over the wall and into the upper right corner of the goal.

Tesho Akindele's glancing header redirected goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez's long ball. Urruti chased behind and sent home a right-footed blast on his first touch from just outside the 18-yard box.

With the late scoring flurry, FC Dallas (2-1-0) bounced back from its 5-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo last Saturday.

TIMBERS 2, REAL SALT LAKE 2

SANDY, Utah (AP) - Fanendo Adi scored twice in a 4-minute span late in the second half to give the Portland Timbers a tie with Real Salt Lake.

In the 79th minute, Dairon Asprilla chipped a shot toward goal that ricocheted off the crossbar and fell to Adi six yards from the goal. Adi volleyed it in for his second score of the season.

Four minutes later, Jamison Olave was ejected for apparently elbowing Adi in the face, and Adi scored on the ensuing penalty.

Joao Plata got his third goal of the season for RSL (1-0-2) in the 16th minute, but then RSL captain Kyle Beckerman was issued a red card 15 minutes later after a sliding tackle on Adi, reducing the visitors to 10 men. Despite the disadvantage, RSL double its lead in the 58th minute on a goal by Yura Movsisyan.

GALAXY 3, EARTHQUAKES 1

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Gyasi Zardes scored two goals early in the second half, and Los Angeles beat 10-man San Jose in the 2016 opener of the California Clasico rivalry.

Jelle Van Damme headed it down across the front of the goal and Zardes finished with a toe punch in the 56th minute. Zardes doubled the lead six minutes later with an opportunistic stab at Kip Colvey's errant clearance attempt.

Robbie Keane capped the scoring with a penalty kick for the Galaxy (2-1-0) in the 91st minute.

The Earthquakes (2-1-0) went down a man in the third minute of first-half stoppage time when Simon Dawkins was sent off for a lunging scissor tackle on Sebastian Lletget.

Chris Wondolowski scored in the 89th minute to pull the Quakes within 2-1.

WHITECAPS 2, SOUNDERS 1

SEATTLE (AP) - Pedro Morales scored twice on penalty kicks to give Vancouver its first victory of the season, 2-1 over winless Seattle.

Vancouver (1-2-0) won after losing consecutive games to start a season for the first time in its five MLS campaigns.

It's the first time Seattle (0-3-0) has started a season with three straight losses. The Sounders lost their first two matches as part of a 0-2-2 start in 2011.

Morales scored his second goal in the 74th minute to make it 2-1 in front of a crowd of 40,012 at CenturyLink Field. Chad Marshall received a yellow card for a slide tackle against Blas Perez in the penalty box to set up Morales' third goal of the season.
