Texas A&M suspends Courtney Williams and Shlonte Allen

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Texas A&M says Courtney Williams and Shlonte Allen have been suspended indefinitely for violating team policy.

Word of the suspension came Saturday just before the fourth-seeded Aggies faced Missouri State in the opening round of the women's NCAA Tournament.

Williams is the team's second leading scorer, averaging 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. The senior guard started 25 games this season. Allen played in 19 games, averaging 2.2 points.

The pair can still practice with the team while suspended.
