Options exist for protecting creek
I read with interest Betty Biggerstaff's March 14 letter on fixing up Buffalo Creek. Ms. Biggerstaff may be able to get activity started on her thoughts to improve Buffalo Creek by contacting and becoming involved with the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission or the Buffalo Creek Clean Water Plan at www.buffalocreekcleanwater.org. The Buffalo Creek Clean Water Plan has about 571 projects on tap. The Village of Buffalo Grove, Lake County, Cook County, Forest Preserves, Metro Water Reclamation District, U.S. Corps of Engineers and others are in involved in these activities.
