The free one-day event featured live music and entertainment, Celtic cuisine and marketplace, free games for kids, and scotch and beer tasting.
"We've had a great event," said Jennifer Djordjevic, director of operations and outreach for the mayor's office. "It's just really nice to be able to mix in the live music with all the other activities." The cool weather my have helped contribute to people's desire to attend the indoor event, which she expected to draw 2,500 people.
"I think people are just really excited to come out and have this whole idea of a Celtic theme," said Djordjevic.
One of the unusual features of the fest was a demonstration of a dog herding ducks. There also were rugby demonstrations, and meet-and-greets with birds of prey and Irish wolfhounds.
