United Tribes women's hoops team loses at national tourney

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The women's basketball team from United Tribes Technical College has been knocked out of championship contention in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II tournament.
The Lady Thunderbirds lost 77-54 to Monroe Community College of Rochester, New York, in a first-round game on Tuesday.
The Bismarck school moves to the consolation bracket, and takes on Kankakee Community College of Illinois on Thursday.
