Clemson leading scorer Jaron Blossomgame files for NBA draft

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson's leading scorer Jaron Blossomgame has filed paperwork for the NBA draft, although he won't hire an agent to keep his options open for returning to school.

Blossomgame announced his intentions Wednesday. He led the Tigers with 18.7 points and 6.7 rebounds a game this season and was voted to the all-Atlantic Coast Conference first team.

Blossomgame has until May 25 to withdraw his name from consideration. He is allowed under NCAA rules to attend team workouts and the NBA draft combine in May before deciding whether to give up his senior season. Blossomgame said if he does not get positive feedback about his draft chances, he will return to school.

Blossomgame would be the second Clemson player in three seasons after K.J. McDaniels to leave early for the NBA.
