CASA hosts annual workshop
Court Appointed Special Advocates Lake County's hosts its annual workshop April 9, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Aon building, 4 Overlook Point, Lincolnshire. The presenter will be Frank Kros, president of the Upside Down Organization and a career child advocate. This year's program, Breakthrough Skills For Child Advocates will cover two major topics: The Best Gift: Helping Children Gain Self-Control and Change Your Language, and Change Their Lives: What Adults Can Say Differently Today to Transform the Tomorrows of Our Youth Social Workers, Therapists, Counselors, and Educators. The event is hosted by Aon. Participants must bring government-issued photo ID and be preregistered by Monday, April 4 at www.casalakecounty.com/annual-workshop. A fee of $35 covers breakfast and lunch. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. Program starts at 9 a.m. Space is limited.
