St. Charles East 3, Fremd 0: Shannon Gatehouse, Chantel Carranza and Hannah Kolb scored goals with Morgan Kull dishing out 2 assists and Claire Rasmussen one to lead the Saints to a nonconference win in their season opener. Alison Chesterfield was in goal for SCE.

Burlington Central 7, Marengo 0: Jordan King had a hat trick while Elizabeth Gousios and Anna McMahon scored 2 goals each to lead the Rockets to a season-opening win in the Big Northern East. Abbi Ciganek and Erin Rafferty manned the net for BC, with neither being called on to make a save.
