United Tribes women's hoops team playing in NJCAA tournament

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The women's basketball team from United Tribes Technical College is making its first appearance in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II tournament.
The Lady Thunderbirds take on Monroe Community College of Rochester, New York, in a first-round game on Tuesday.
The Bismarck school is the No. 16 seed in the 16-team field. Monroe is the top seed and has five national championships to its credit.
The tournament is in Overland Park, Kansas.
