UNC Greensboro fires women's basketball coach after 5 years
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - UNC Greensboro has fired women's basketball coach Wendy Palmer.
Athletic director Kim Record announced the decision Monday.
Palmer, a former Virginia player who spent a decade in the WNBA, went 33-116 overall and 11-75 in the Southern Conference in five seasons at the school. The Spartans went 8-21 this season and lost their final 15 games.
Record says the school will conduct a national search for her replacement.
