Wishes Buffalo Grove would take better care of Buffalo Creek

I can't believe Buffalo Grove let Rowell built condos by the creek, and now you have put up horrible signs all over the place that nobody can walk by the creek - gigantic ugly signs right by our walking path.

I have never seen anything like this in my life. Why don't our village leaders put huge signs in their own backyards so you can see the horrible things when you go for a walk?

Or maybe the village could build a huge wall all around the creek, and get policemen to guard it, so nobody will be allowed to see or walk by Buffalo Creek.

Buffalo Creek is the property of Buffalo Grove, but you have never taken care of it. Last year the village planted tall weeds by the creek, full of insects, mosquitoes and ticks.

A few years ago, the village leaders made this same property a nature preserve. You paid Baxter and Woodman Inc. to help develop it, produced a video about it and planted plants. You spent thousands - probably close to a million - to develop the preserve and it was a total disaster. All that money wasted, and the creek banks deteriorated and now we are not allowed to walk by the creek anymore.

I have lived by this mess for over 10 years. I cleared out all the weeds by the creek that the village would never take care of when I first moved in.

Why doesn't the village let the Lake County Forest Preserve take over this property?

I noticed the village put rocks by the creek banks that run through the golf course. The golf course is all they really take care of. I think it is time they close the course, and spend our money more wisely.
