Antiques dealers, hunters flock to Kane County for annual show
Everything from tree stump tables to fine hand-painted china, 300-year-old portraits and tiny 1-inch cigars were on display Sunday at the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association's 59th Spring Fox Valley Antiques Show.
The show at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles drew 55 dealers from 14 states to show and sell an array of Americana and other items dating as far back as the 18th century.
"This is always a good show," said dealer Marion Atten, who runs Antiques at Hillwood booth out of downstate DeWitt, Illinois. "We did well again. I can't say enough good about it."
Proceeds from the two-day show benefit the Garfield Farm Museum and Northern Illinois Food Bank.
