Police searching for suspects in Waukegan dollar store robbery

Waukegan Police are searching for two men who robbed the Deals dollar store at 4044 Northpoint Blvd. about 9 p.m. Thursday.

According to Cmdr. Joe Florip, one of the men displayed a handgun, then the suspects took money from the register and left on foot in an unknown direction.

Florip said the store was not equipped with surveillance cameras so police were unable to distribute photos or video of the suspects to the public. He said the suspects were described as black and wearing dark clothing.
