Four suspects apprehended for spate of burglaries in Elk Grove Village
Four suspects are in police custody and awaiting charges in connection with a spate of recent residential burglaries in Elk Grove Village, police said Thursday.
The four individuals, who were not identified by authorities, were cooperating with Elk Grove police, according to a posting on the village website.
Police say they recovered a stolen vehicle as part of the investigation, which involved several other law enforcement agencies.
The suspects were in custody at another law enforcement agency and expected to appear at a bond hearing in DuPage County, Elk Grove officials said.
Last Monday, Elk Grove police hosted a neighborhood watch meeting at Adlai Stevenson Elementary School, located on the west side of town, where many of the burglaries occurred.
