Foreign Film Sundays to feature 'Cinema Paradiso' at Geneva library

Watch the Italian film "Cinema Paradiso" from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Geneva Public Library, 127 James St. The film, written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore and starring Philippe Noiret, won the 1989 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The film features a score by the influential film composer Ennio Morricone.

In the movie, a filmmaker recalls his childhood, when he fell in love with the movies at his village's theater and formed a deep friendship with the theater's projectionist.

The film is sponsored by the International Cultural Exchange Committee, and the viewing will be followed by a discussion.
