Healthy Lombard seeks support in DuPage Human Race

Healthy Lombard will participate for the first time in the DuPage Human Race, a community event and fundraiser that benefits more than 65 nonprofit organizations serving DuPage County.

The event reflects Healthy Lombard's "Triple A" approach to health: Awareness, Activities and Achievement.

The event will showcase an "Awareness" of the need to exercise at least 60 minutes a day; the "Activity" of running or walking is a great way to start or continue a healthy lifestyle; and the "Achievement" of participating and completing the challenge.

Healthy Lombard is looking for participants to pledge support for Healthy Lombard to help ensure it can continue to fund events like Tour de Apple and the kids' fitness challenge.

DuPage Human Race will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at The Esplanade at Locust Point, 1901 W. Butterfield Road, Downers Grove.

Healthy Lombard is asking supporters to register at www.dupagehumanrace.org and choose Healthy Lombard as their charity.
