Round Lake police looking for armed robber
The Round Lake Police Department is attempting to identify an armed robber who stole an unknown amount of cash from a gas station.
Police said that at 1:44 p.m. on Friday, the robber, described as a black man between 40 and 60, robbed the Marathon station at 1175 W. Route 134.
The man displayed a handgun, police said. He then fled in a dark green or black 2001-2004 Nissan Xterra with a missing license plate and drove south on Fairfield Road. Police said he was wearing a black jacket, a dark wool cap and sunglasses.
