More than two dozen apply for Lake County judicial posts
Lake County court officials say 32 people have applied for at least one of the two judicial vacancies created earlier this year when two associate judges were promoted to full circuit judge positions.
Officials say 29 candidates applied for the post left open when Christopher Stride moved to a full circuit judge position in January. Those same 29 applicants, along with three others, also filed for the associate judge post made available when Christen Bishop was promoted to circuit judge in February.
After a review process is completed, a nominating committee will select the names of two candidates to be placed on a ballot for election by the Lake County's 19th Judicial Circuit judges.
