"She brought a disciplined attitude that Harvest Christian had been missing. She was in it 100 percent all the time and she made the kids who played with her come up to her level. She will be missed and NIU really won the lottery getting Paulina."
Morgan Clausen HuntleyClausen, a 6-1 junior forward, helped the Red Raiders win the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division title for the fourth year in a row by averaging 9.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game - both second-best on the team. Clausen's efforts earned her a spot on the all-FVC Valley team. "Morgan really improved her overall game this season," said Huntley coach Steve Raethz. "She has improved in a lot of areas, most notably her scoring and rebounding this season. She does a tremendous job of rebounding for our team and provides a lot of energy while also proving to be a very versatile defender. "She plays hard all the time ... practice or game. Camri was our team leader at both ends of the floor this year. We often asked her to guard one of the opponent's best players and then come down and run the show on offense. It was a pleasure to coach her the past few years. She has made a real impact on our program and on our younger players."
Chanel Fanter Crystal Lake SouthFanter, a 5-10 senior guard, averaged 16.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.5 blocks en route to earning all-Fox Valley Conference Valley Division honors for a third time. "Her scoring threat was stronger this year, her ability to take people off the dribble, to shoot from the outside. The ability has been there, she was just a little more willing. Her consistency - 18, 19 points, that's an off-game for her."

We gave her the toughest assignment and she responded every time." Mello noted Gerdevich held Conant standout Jorie Wachal scoreless in the first half of game, held Montini's Lea Kerstein to 7 points and only one made 3-pointer and also limited Wheaton North's Emmy Gryna to 5 points in the regional semifinals. "I know a lot of people love stats, but Nicole gave us much more than stats," Mello said. "She made teams go away from their strengths and find other ways to score."

She was real difficult to stay in front of. She defended everyone else's perimeter best player. She played great defense on a lot of really good guards. Bethany was one who would usually win a race to the ball and track the ball very well."

She plays with such intensity and such energy and she is the same way in practice."

"She always represented our school well as a player and as a person. Other teams would box-and-one her or double-team her and she still found ways to score. The complete package she brings is pretty cool."
