NGA relocation decision pushed back a week

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The decision on where in the St. Louis region to relocate the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is being pushed back a week.
The announcement was originally expected March 25, but the spy agency said Wednesday that it will now be April 1. A spokesman says the delay will allow agency director Robert Cardillo to return from a trip abroad.
The agency plans a new $1.6 billion facility at one of four sites in the region - Fenton or the Mehlville area of St. Louis County, north St. Louis city, or near Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois.
St. Louis is the current home for the agency, near the Anheuser-Busch brewery. Losing it would cost the city about $2 million in annual earnings tax revenue.
