Authorities identify 2 killed in crash in eastern Indiana

SELMA, Ind. (AP) - Authorities have identified two people killed in a crash in Selma in eastern Indiana.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn said Monday that dental records were used to identify 45-year-old Joy Marie Greer and 51-year-old Russell E. Greer Jr. Hahn said the two died of blunt-force trauma injuries suffered when their Chrysler PT Cruiser hit a tree in Selma. The vehicle was then engulfed in flames.

The crash was reported Saturday night. Hahn says the Greers lived just outside Selma.

The (Muncie) Star Press (http://tspne.ws/1XWVq26 ) reports the cause of the accident remains under investigation. Joe Krupa, public information officer for the Delaware County Sheriff's Department, says the vehicle hit a parked car before leaving the road and hitting the tree.
