State Rep. Anna Moeller speaks at Kyuki-Do Summit

State Rep. Anna Moeller was the keynote speaker for the American Kyuki-Do Federation's annual Leadership Summit on Saturday, Feb. 27.

School owners and instructors from throughout the United States attended the three-day gathering, hosted by Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Elgin. The weekend consisted of martial arts training, business training specific to the martial arts, general business education and networking opportunities.

In Moeller's discussion, she commended the Kyuki-Do attendees for educating their students to be responsible citizens. She also noted that she was an active member of the American Kyuki-Do federation and achieved her Green Belt. She maintained that the goal to achieve her black belt still exists. She also expressed her understanding that the personal development aspects of the martial arts is what she finds most appealing for herself and her family.
