Christian values will produce equality in 21st century
I hope that I can share an opinion during this Black History Month. This Christian black man believes that God allowed the African to be brought to America in order to bless America.
The evidence being that blacks have contributed greatly to America over the centuries. There is much evidence that America has repaid the favor. Today we have schools, streets, and buildings named after great black Americans along with a national holiday and a black president.
I believe God's first law is order. I believe that blacks in America have taken two vital steps toward equality. I think we are ready for Step Three.
Step One was overcoming slavery. Step Two was winning the fight for equality. Step Three will be accepting that we are equal and then acting equal.
Such involves forgiving whites and loving whites. We must accept that we are as capable of evil as any white man is. Blacks cannot succeed at Step Three without being truthful with ourselves.
Is it for no reason that other races see us as a violent and corrupt race of people? Did not black males kill over 500 people in Chicago last year? That's a lot of killing.
Can you blame other races for being slightly suspicious of us? How can we succeed while being dishonest about the root of our problems?
As they say, "Your life is your fault."
I believe the only way that we will succeed at Step Three is to obey God and "love one another."
We'll make this new century America's greatest by referring to and depending on the Word of God as our one and only basis of authority. In doing God's will we are "more than conquerors." We have won before we've started.
