Lombard's Maple Street Chapel offers variety program series

Maple Street Chapel launches its three-event Variety Program Series of music and historical drama next month with a choral concert.

All three spring performances are at the chapel, 200 S. Main St., Lombard.

• Lilac Senior Chorus, a 30-member community chorus, performs at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6. The Lilac Chorus sings favorites from the '40s and '50s, with a sprinkling of up-to-date tunes. The program includes "Night and Day" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Tickets are $15.

• Historian Terry Lynch appears as King Arthur, telling stories of Camelot and the roundtable, at 3 p.m. Sunday April 3. This program is directed to children and families. Tickets are $15, with a maximum price of $30 for a family.

• The 16th annual American Heritage Concert is performed at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24. The concert features a 21-member orchestra, highlighted by the "Peer Gynt Suite," including "Morning Mood" and "In the Hall of the Mountain King." The cost is $20.

The special discount price for all three programs is $40.
