Chicago man sentenced for bringing girl to Arkansas for sex
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A 44-year-old Chicago man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for taking a 13-year-old girl from Chicago to northwest Arkansas to have sex with her.
Prosecutors said Monday that David Duffin was sentenced to 420 months in prison in U.S. District Court in Fayetteville. Duffin had faced up to life in prison.
Duffin was convicted in August of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
Prosecutors say Duffin created a Facebook profile of a teenage boy and used it to meet the girl then eventually bring her to Bentonville.
The girl was reported missing from Illinois last April 4 and was found five days later with Duffin at a Bentonville motel.
