Great Lakes Credit Union employees donate $10,000 to two charities

BANNOCKBURN - Great Lakes Credit Union employees raised $10,000 to support two charities in 2015.

GLCU employees voted to support On Angels' Wings and CU4Kids, and throughout the year employees and members raised funds through the credit union's pledge to contribute $1 for each new member who joined in 2015. Donations were also made by members and employees at branches and community events, such as the Peanuts Movie Benefit Night hosted by the Antioch Theatre.

On Angels' Wings is a local no-kill, animal welfare organization whose mission is to provide shelter and foster care, adoption of dogs and cats, supply needy families through their pet food pantry, and animal welfare education.

CU4Kids is a national collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners engaged in fundraising activities to benefit Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. The local CMN Hospital is the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
