Marmion Academy to host 'Mr. Marmion' competition
On Friday, Feb. 26, Marmion Academy's Student Council along with the Leadership Education and Development Program will host "Mr. Marmion," a mock talent/beauty show to benefit charity.
Three members from each class will compete in four different events and a panel of faculty and student judges will determine who will win the coveted 2016 Mr. Marmion crown.
The contestants in this year's Mr. Marmion competition are: seniors Ben Colwell of Montgomery, Dolan Hunt of Aurora and Ben Rydecki of Somonauk; juniors Gustavo Hernandez of Mexico, currently residing in Geneva, Fredy Quevedo of Elgin and Ricky Ruiz of Aurora; sophomores Austin Flanagan of Naperville, Will Kane of Aurora and Jack Kirtley of St. Charles; and freshmen Luke Barresi of South Elgin, Keegan Bennett of Sugar Grove and Joe Novak of Geneva.
All proceeds from the event will go to support the American Heart Association.
Show time will be 7 p.m. at Marmion Academy's Alumni Hall, 1000 Butterfield Road in Aurora.
