No miracles needed if party is well planned
I was invited to a shower for a family member. The invitation came through a conversation with another person in the family. I kept waiting for a formal invitation to come by mail, but a week before the occasion I still had not been extended an invitation or notified of any details.
I called the family member throwing the shower. She said it was posted on the social media page.
Party planning has stood the test of time. In ancient times, Jesus was invited to a wedding. It appears the man in charge may not have planned appropriately because, in the middle of the reception, he ran out of wine.
At that point, Jesus took over and performed a miracle, saving the best wine on the list for last. However, when you're planning a party you want to plan wisely so you can decrease your anxiety and reduce the need for a miracle.
Over the ages, celebrations of many kinds have been a part of family life. Social media has made it possible to extend an invitation to many, but I feel there are still some timeless tips that apply even in this new era of communication.
Many things are needed to plan the party of your dreams. Although my information may not cover everything, I want to provide a few important steps.
Many young people are accustomed to using social media, posting invitations on their pages. However, when sending an invitation, a R.S.V.P. should always be requested. This means you want a response so you know how many are attending the party; without a head count you can't plan for the amount of food, drinks and necessary tableware.
Also, keep in my mind not everyone is on your social media list. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, who are the most likely to attend, may need an invitation the old fashion way - the mail.
When you want others to to lend a helping hand by bringing food, make sure they know what you would like them to bring. If you enjoy the cake your aunt usually brings to each occasion let her know you'd like one, too. Don't assume it will miraculously appear on your banquet table.
I believe following these few important tips can make help your celebration a dream come true.
