Antioch rolls in postseason opener
Olivia Ori came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points, and Amy Reiser and Alexis Duehr also had 16 points, as Antioch's girls basketball team opened the state tournament with a 93-25 rout of No. 16 Elmwood Park at Woodstock North on Wednesday night.
Erika Gallimore added 15 points for the top-seeded Sequoits (25-5), who advance to Friday's 7 p.m. Class 3A regional final against No. 8 Marian Central. Ashley Reiser dished out 8 assists and scored 4 points in limited minutes for Antioch. Duehr sank four 3-pointers.
Marian Central 53, Woodstock North 47: At Woodstock North, the eighth-seeded Hurricanes knocked off the No. 10 seed.
Marian Central will play top-seeded Antioch in the regional final at 7 p.m. Friday.
