Northwest Suburban Charity 'Pays it Forward' at 7th Annual Fundraiser

Pay it Forward, the annual fundraiser presented by Palatine-based nonprofit C.A.T.I.F. [Celebrating All That Is Feminine] is now in its 7th year. The not-for-profit public charity dedicates its efforts to raising money for charitable programs and organizations that specifically serve woman, and children experiencing crisis.

C.A.T.I.F. is an organization made up of professional women whose overarching goal is to give back to others who are in-need.

Funds raised at the Pay it Forward event will benefit the Kappa Kappa Gamma Girls' Academy, which assists at-risk teenagers through mentoring and leadership guidance at weekend retreats, and Arts Refreshing the Soul, a nonprofit organization that promotes the well-being, and facilities the recovery of women and children (up to 6 years of age) who are victims of domestic abuse, poverty and homelessness through creative arts programs.

"We as an organization are proud to continue our goal to lift up other nonprofit organizations whose mission mirrors that of C.A.T.I.F.'s," said Kara Cermak, C.A.T.I.F. president and founder. "We celebrate the light that these two organizations help people find in what is in many cases, their darkest hours."

The event will include both silent and live auction items, a cash raffle, cocktails and appetizers and a jam-packed evening full of fun.

Pay it Forward will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Drink, 871 E. Algonquin Road, Schaumburg. Tickets are $50 by Feb. 20, and $60 at the door, and sponsor opportunities are available online at www.catifcharity.com.
