Fun-Raiser to solve the Mystery of the Missing Masterpiece
The Mystery of the Missing Masterpiece
Arts in Bartlett has launched a "fun-raising" whodunit game to find the person who took the painting "La flambée des cours de la Tour Eiffel" (Soaring Over the Eiffel Tower) by Wes Lee K from the gallery at 215 S. Main Street gallery.
After an investigation, 10 persons of interest have been identified who had access and motive. Suspects in this fictional caper include:
1) Kathryn Benton, Teaching Artist, Color My World Children's Art Studio
2) Dorothy Deen, Cello Teacher and Performer
3) Roseanne Derango DDS, Derango Family Dental
4) Michael Fuelling, Pastor, Village Church
5) Liz Georgakis, Administrator, BAM (Bartlett Area Moms) Facebook
6) Pam Jaramillo, BookLady's Book Attic
7) Wes Lee K, artist, musician and therapist
8) Mary Smith, VP, Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce
9) Bruce Suffern, owner, Banbury Fair
10) Kevin Wallace, President, Village of Bartlett
All upstanding citizens - or are they? Arts in Bartlett invites the public to view their "mug shots" and clues on the Fun-Raising Page on artsinbartlett.org and at Arts in Bartlett, 215 S. Main and vote for their favorite suspect with donations. Voting ends March 18 and the big "reveal" party is April 1 at the Arts Center. The one with the most votes wins a print of the real original oil painting and in a drawing of those who voted for the real offender, another print will be awarded.
Arts in Bartlett is the local 501c3 arts council that maintains an arts center with music and art lessons and a gallery for local artists in downtown Bartlett. Proceeds will benefit programs such as scholarships and grants for talented students, adult and children art lessons, local artists exhibits at Bartlett Village Hall and Arts in Bartlett, the annual arts festival in Bartlett Park, performances and much more.
