Ela Youth Program to Host Safe Sitter Sessions

The Ela Township Youth Program's babysitting program, sponsored by Safe Sitter, gives teens instruction for caring for children, including how to care for a choking infant or child, basic first aid, personal safety, injury prevention and behavior management.

Ethics is also discussed along with the business aspects of babysitting. The program includes a manual and completion card. Participants should bring a baby-sized doll and lunch to classes. Participants must attend both sessions to become certified.

Classes will be held at the Ela Township Community Center at 380 Surryse Rd., in Lake Zurich, April 9 and 10. Sign up today by calling 847-438-9160.
