DISTRICT 212 HOSTS ANNUAL EMPTY BOWLS FUNDRAISER

This year's Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held on Thursday, February 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the student cafeteria at West Leyden High School, 1000 N. Wolf Road, Northlake.

Sponsored by the West Leyden Clay Club, the event features original artwork created by student members of the clay club, as well as bowls created by students and teachers from East Leyden. Those who attend will get a generous portion of "all you can eat" bread and soup served in a handcrafted ceramic bowl of your choice for $15.

If you want only the soup, the cost is $5.

The Empty Bowls fundraiser will benefit the Leyden Food Pantry and raise awareness of world hunger. The public is invited to attend and help support the effort.
